A site visit of the international External Expert Commission took place under the chairmanship of Almagul M. Kurmanova, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and Scientific Advisor of the JSC “Scientific Centre of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology”.
The commission also included the international expert Professor Laszlo Csiba, Professor of the Department of Neurology of the University of Debrecen, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Editorial Board Member of Neurosonology (Japan) and Clinical Neurosciences, and Associate Editor of Frontiers in Stroke, as well as the recipient of the Széchenyi Presidential Prize of the Republic of Hungary for outstanding scientific achievements. The Commission consisted of academic experts from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, resident/master’s level experts from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and an employer representative.
The experts conducted an external evaluation of five postgraduate clinical educational programmes (master’s level) for compliance with the Accreditation Standards for Postgraduate Education Programmes, developed by the Eurasian Centre for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Health Care, based on the updated 2023 edition of the WFME International Standards for Quality Improvement of Postgraduate Medical Education (Residency).
