A site visit of the External Expert Commission took place under the chairmanship of Kauysheva A.A., Candidate of Medical Sciences, Deputy Director for Strategic Development and Research of the RSE on REM “National Scientific Center of Phthisiopulmonology of the Republic of Kazakhstan” of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the participation of the international expert Sattarov Zh.B., Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of “Hospital Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Oncology”, Head of the Education Quality Control Department of Tashkent State Medical University, and a surgeon of the highest category.

The External Expert Commission was established in accordance with the WFME Guidelines and included representatives of the academic community, a resident expert, and an employer expert. JSC “National Center for Neurosurgery” is undergoing a re-accreditation procedure for compliance with the institutional accreditation standards for postgraduate and continuing professional education organisations, developed by the Eurasian Centre for Accreditation based on the WFME Global Standards for Quality Improvement in Medical Education.

The programme of the external evaluation included meetings with senior management, faculty of the Department of Neurosurgery and Nephrology, interviews with residents, faculty members, and representatives of practical healthcare, observation of academic sessions, review of resources for residency programmes and continuing professional development learners, as well as examination of documentation.
