The External Expert Commission visited Taldykorgan Higher Medical College (THMC) on 8–10 April 2026 to assess its compliance with the standards for institutional accreditation of medical colleges and to evaluate educational programmes, including the applied Bachelor’s degree programme in “Nursing”. The international commission, chaired by T.K. Amanzholova, Deputy Director for practical training at the Kazakhstan-Russian Higher Medical College, included an international expert – I.R. Urazaliyeva, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Associate Professor at the School of Public Health, Tashkent State Medical University (Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan).

The expert commission also included academic staff from higher medical colleges of Kazakhstan, a student representative, and a representative of practical healthcare. Taldykorgan Higher Medical College was established in 1936 and will celebrate its 90th anniversary this autumn.

The experts noted significant positive developments over the past five years, which were reflected in the final report.
