A site visit by an international external expert commission to the University of Business and Science (Namangan, Republic of Uzbekistan) took place on March 11–13, 2026, as part of an institutional evaluation of the University, which comprises 7 faculties and offers 30 bachelor’s degree programmes (including programmes in general medicine, pediatrics, pharmacy, and dentistry), 6 master’s programmes, and 5 doctoral programmes for international students.

The international commission was chaired by A. Kh. Arenova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor in the Department of Primary Education at the Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Republic of Kazakhstan, and Honorary Professor at the International Institute of Differential Psychology. International Expert: Sofia Gaio (SOFIA GAIO), PhD, Executive MBA, Assistant Professor at Fernando Pessoa University; Visiting Assistant Professor at the Open University (Universidade Aberta—Portugal’s public online university).

Member of the Board of Directors of EPACA—the European Public Affairs Consultants Association. The expert commission included representatives of the academic community in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, faculty members from national universities and medical schools, a student, and an employer.

The institutional evaluation was conducted to assess compliance with the ECAQA Standards for the Institutional Accreditation of Higher Education and Postgraduate Education Institutions, which were developed based on the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015).
